1 ½ cups (3 sticks) butter, softened
4 cups sifted powdered sugar
⅓ cup cocoa
2 tablespoons cola (cream or milk may be substituted)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cream the butter using an electric mixer. Sift together powdered sugar and cocoa. Gradually add the sugar to the butter. Add the cola and vanilla. Beat until spreading consistency. Frosts 36 cupcakes or 2 (9 by 5 by 3 inch) loaf cakes.
