Vanilla Buttercream

3 cups sifted powdered sugar

1 stick (4 oz) butter at room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons lactose free milk

Using an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment on medium high speed, beat the butter until light in color. Lower the speed of the mixer and slowly add in the powdered sugar. Add in the vanilla and milk. Once everything is incorporated, increase the speed of the mixer and beat until the desired consistency.

This will frost 12 cupcakes. Double this recipe to frost a 9 inch layer cake.
